Starting in September, we'll be switching to a different schedule for Murphy trailwork...
Fall Trailwork Schedule for Murphy-Hanrehan: 1st and 3rd Sunday of every month.
We will meet this coming Sunday at 10am at the main trailhead (where you would park if you were riding the trail).
We'll supply the tools... but please wear long pants, good shoes or boots, and bring gloves, bug spray and water.
A powerbar or similar snack might be a good idea too.
If you are under 18 yrs old, bring a parent or guardian along.
Thanks... we hope to see you there!!

Yup!
I'll keep the calendar updated, so you can always check there for trailwork dates that are further off.

An especially BIG THANKS to Cam, Mike, Gary, Nicole, April and Tom!!
We worked longer than we usually do... and I really appreciate everyone putting in the extra time!
Typically we quit around 1:30, but we worked until 2:30 today. I promise next time we'll be done earlier... but we got some important (and fun) stuff done today!
Hope to see everyone again!
THANKS!!! :D

I really had a freakin' blast. Who knew working your arse off could be so much fun? I will definitely be back...can't make the next one 'cause I'll be at a hootenanny drinking redeye in Raleigh, ND (AKA at a small-town ND wedding reception), but after that, my heart belongs to Murphy.

Was I the only one that didn't wuss out when it came to riding the trail after the work today?! ;) It was a hard ride... you know when you dust the bike off in the spring for it's first ride? Almost like that..
Rode with a buddy and there were times it seemed like every mile or so I was yelling out to him what was done to the trail today. We hit a lot of areas. I found it amazing how fast you just blow past an area and then realalize how much work you JUST did to make it better. The new rock garden area we did today was pretty fun but not as hard as I thought it was going to be while building it. After hitting it I told my buddy to hold up a min so I could ride it again. We spent too much time there today to just blow buy it once :) I did notice some tracks on it so it looks like it will get some use compared to the way it used to be.
It was pretty neat getting thanks from every rider that went past us. Shows what a great bunch of people bikers can be. I'll be back again!

I was out there with you Cam and I underestimated my energy reserves but it didn't help that my seat slipped (and I don't carry tools-bad biker) and my derailleur was acting up. I'm still glad I rode, though.
