Ride: Battle Creek, Wed. Aug 15 5:30pm

Group ride at Battle Creek this Wed. Moderate pace, but there is no avoiding the hills at BC :p. We regroup often so everyone is welcome even if you not a great hill climber.

We'll have to stop and take a look at the tree struck by lightning that Shawn found. Pretty impressive display of the power of a lightning bolt. Peeled the tree apart pretty good and big chunks of lumber blown 40-50 yards away from the tree.

Meet at the Rec Center parking lot of Winthrop at 5:30 ready to ride. Post up if you think your going to make it.

Good ride last night guys. We ended up with about 7 riders including a couple of guys new to BC.... Welcome Dave and Mike! Trail conditions were excellent with all the sand packing down nicely with the fresh moisture. We checked out portions of the new overlook trail. Can't wait to get that one open it is going to be SWEET!

It was a great ride and we didnt even see a turkey, darn it !!!!!!!!!!

It was nice to see the lot more crowded, even if they did have bent handle bars. They did really like the trail though.
