There will be a trailwork session at Murphy-Hanrehan this Sunday morning at 10am. We will meet at the main trailhead (where you would park if you were riding the trail).
We'll supply the tools... but please wear long pants, good shoes or boots, and bring gloves, bug spray and water.
Don't forget the water!! A powerbar or similar snack might be a good idea too.
If you are under 18 yrs old, bring a parent or guardian along.
Thanks... we hope to see you there!!

Planning on being there. I am a little too hobbled up to ride (over a week now :cryin:) but should be solid enough to lend a hand and a back. Put me down as one back, two hands and 1 1/2 legs.
Is the recent and upcoming rainfall going to hamper/change the start time or duration of this event?

It shouldn't, as long as it doesn't rain just before (or during) trailwork.
The rain actually makes it easier to fix some of the problems with the tread.
I'll post by 9am if we need to cancel due to rain/storms.

Im thinkin if I wake up before 9 when the girlfriend has to work I'll have nothing to do. Not sure if I'll be out because I'm shy and new here but I might show since all my riding buddies are out of town.

Sean (and anyone else)... come out if you are at all interested in helping... or if you just want to see what trailwork is all about!
We'd love to have the extra help!
The bare essentials are water, long pants, and gloves (recommended), we'll supply everything else.

Would be even worth brining a bike that early or will we be there late enough to be able to have the trail dry and ride afterwards?

More hands make light work.
THis is my first official trail work session too so don't feel alone, we can be lost together

It'll likely be too wet in the morning, but could be rideable by the time trailwork is done (we'll be done by 1:30, if not sooner).
More rain overnight could make it too wet to ride later into the day.

Thanks Joseph, Gary, Mike and Saundra for helping out with trailwork today!
The recent rain made working the dirt MUCH easier... we fixed some more of the bad corners/washed out areas on the advanced loop.
