What gearing would one ride if one were to ride a one x one on this singley twisty trail for say - 60mi?

Hey Mike. I started with 32x17 last fall for two Saturday daytime rides with my fast crew, but after first 4-5hrs....I went with 32x18 for remaining 2 rides that night and next day (another 4 some hrs). Still kept up with the gang pretty good. Goat climb is the biggest climb out there....do-able 32x17 but darn frigg'n hard. Still way hard with 32x18. I'd say 18 on 26'er for a 60 mi race.
