I saw on the wiki page that is says there is no water at Murphy, this is incorrect. There is a water fountain behind the building near the toilets. It just isn't visible from the parking area. I was going to modify the wiki but didn't see the editor option.

Pete C. requested that Murphy's review be locked down for now. I will fix the water statement.

Thanks Pete. There are a handful of things that need to be updated on the trail review (including the water)... I've been waiting until the trailhead is complete.

Not the coldest or best tasting water, but there is water at Murphy.

That is true but when it is 90 and you forgot to grab extra water it is really nice to have. :) Again, nice job on the trail, looks/flows great!

Why is the murphy page locked down? Doesn't that violate the point of the wiki?

If you hold the water on for a min or two it normally gets cool but the taste doesn't get any better :)

Well... kinda. A wiki can be put on "hold" by just about anyone for a lot of reasons... problems agreeing on content etc. We're just not sure that its appropriate to have completely all of our reviews in wiki format so we're in testing. It works great for the trails that nobody is handling by themselves.

Is that why there isn't a Leb review in wiki format?

Kinda. The Leb review is in an entirely different format from wiki or the old format... and it, like Murphy, gets its updates from the trail steward on a timely basis ;) The wiki could be more of a development area for some of the trail reviews as well - let people edit the content then paste it into a better format eventually.

We'll see as the wiki idea starts to catch on more. At this point I want to honor what the trail steward (and/or primary trail review updater) wants and not force them into anything...
