I need a 1 1/4", threaded fork for an old Fisher Paragon. It needs to be about 170mm.

If you have one, let me know the steerer tube length and your price.

Thanks,
Rob

I've never heard of anything other than 1" (old skool), 1-1/8" (standard) or 1.5" (some FR stuff and funky stuff).

"Evolution" sized HT, stem, and fork steerer (1 1/4").

Fisher came out with it in the late 80's.

Check with Freewheel... they should be able to check stock with Fisher, or they'd be able to get reducers so you can convert it to 1 1/8".

According to the Fisher website, they have some 1 1/4" rigid forks left in stock at Fisher.

I'm trying to find an inexpensive, used fork to replace the worn-out Manitou suspension fork on the bike. The bike is already built up and I don't want to buy a new headset and stem. That's why I haven't gone the route of using a reducer.

I may need to convert, but I'm hoping to find a 1 1/4" fork first. The funny thing is that I also have a tandem with this size steerer tube.

It's like a bicycle freak show in my garage.

Rigid? Or suspension?

There are some rigid options on eBay. Cheap enough to give 'em a try ($18-23).

Under "Forks - Other" do a search for "1/4". There are some new ones for $22.99 at an eBay store called CYCLE4LESSCOM.

Good luck. I've been in the same shoes.

I would really prefer rigid, but if someone has a serviceable suspension fork, I'd be interested.

Due to the imminent obsolescence of suspension parts, I'd be in the same situation in the future if I go with another suspension fork. But I'm still open to it.

Thanks for asking.
