So I clicked on "Trail Conditions" on the homepage and it lists conditions for "The Farm" as tacky and it was updated 7-9-07. Is the Farm still intact? I thought it was closed...for good.

Forgot to remove it from trail conditions. I don't know if much of it is left, I think it kinda got split in half.

I've been hiking the farm every day as everyone seemed to have abandoned it since the freeway split and loss of that whole other section across the field. What a shame as it was really a great trail and my hats off to the people that put it together!! Sounds like most have switched to Mammoth which is understandable. There is still some trail that can be ridden there but that freeway really wacked alot of it out. I walked past that building along the crushed rock trail where the trail cuts across the creek and followed it down thru the tunnel to check that other section and it's completely gone. Makes you sick to see that as there were alot of huge oaks in the spot and great trail as well.

It sounds like the Farm took a whack with the new highway. Now that the highways is done, is there anything to salvage or any plans for new dirt to be dug?

I sure am going to miss the farm!!! Bummer as it is though, we knew the eventual fate of the farm for quite a while. I did love that trail so. Mammoth isn't the same, it's like trying to replace your childhood puppy dog with a neighbors cat. I'm not saying that Mammoth isn't fun, I'm just saying, that is all!
