Just road Elm Creek today and what a blast! Coming from someone who regularly rides Leb and Hillside, I can honestly say it was a refreshing change. I cant wait to see what's in store for this trail in the future. Any idea when new construction will begin?

Hopefully someday, but as of right now, there are no approved plans to build new trail at Elm Creek.

I've lived in Champlin for a couple of years now and am just getting back into it; it would be awesome if these plans made it into reality.
Too bad these things move at what seems to be a snails pace, but oh well; better late than never.
Keep posting updates as they occur~

Thanks for posting Joe.
Local support and involvement really helps create a successful trail project. We'll keep posting updates whenever possible.

The day before I posted this, I think I found the unofficial and "illegal?" trails in E.C., I didn't go looking for them, but I saw fresh tracks and wanted to see where they went. On the east side of the park, just north of goose lake, very close to the main access points of champlin where I enter most of the time..
Anyway I went down the paved hill north of goose lake park and saw a fresh set of dirt tracks leading off the paved trail (towards the bottom of the hill), going up a hill which lead to the start of some singletrack. I went about 30' in and it looked pretty nice, but right away I saw a warning sign; great I thought... Figures that what looked like some pretty nice singletrack isn't approved for use... It did look like it was pretty well broken from what I saw. Any comments guys (or girls)?

I just found another thread that answered my question-
Nice trail.
Not official = shouldn't be ridden
