There will be a trailwork session at Murphy-Hanrehan this Sunday morning at 9am. We will meet at the main trailhead (where you would park if you were riding the trail).
We're planning to start work on some of the dirt berms... it should be a fun project, so come out and join us!!
We'll supply tools, but if you have a flat-bottom shovel bring it along.
Wear long pants (we'll be working near wild parsnip). Also wear good shoes or boots, and bring gloves, bug spray and water. A powerbar or similar snack might be a good idea too.
If you are under 18 yrs old, bring a parent or guardian along.
Thanks... we hope to see you there!!

John made quick work of it today... the berm is ready to ride! Awesome job!!
It's at a spot where there used to be a sharp righthand turn just before marker 78 (the S turn before you ride the long bridge and enter the big prairie section). There will be more berm projects later in the season.
It'll need some more compacting and a couple finishing touches, but it turned out great. Some rain will help too.
Hopefully it'll be cooler next Sunday and we'll get a bigger crew (a total of four people today - thanks guys!).
Come out next Sunday... we can use the help!!!

It's raining in MPLS, I hope our new berm at Murphy gets some of the same! I little rain and a few riders and the new berm should ride in pretty well! Thanks everyone!

Ryan got some time with the machine today too... I got some pics on my phone that I hope will turn out.
I also drove over my foot like 3 times. Those machines are not light... my left foot is black right now. :hit:

Maybe I don't want to learn how to use the machines!:)
Sorry about the foot! Everyone should remember to thank John for sacrificing his foot for the new cool berm! Thanks John!
We should be working out there now, 20 degrees cooler and some moinsture in the soil! I hardly did any work today and I still felt it in all that heat!

Awesome!! That spot looked like it was just getting worse and worse due to "oh ****" braking

Nice work guys! Wish I could have been there to help, but I can't say that I'm sorry to be missing the MN heatwave.
Sorry I got strep throat and was still in bed yesterday.
I should be good for the next trail work though
