Team IMBA is IMBA's newest event-based initiative. We're searching for teams of riders that will represent IMBA at the world-famous 24 Hours of Moab (http://www.grannygear.com/Races/Moab/index.shtml) event this fall (Oct. 13-14, 2007). The goal is to raise funds for healthy, sustainable trail-based recreation while simultaneously elevating your riding. This summer and fall you'll get regularly updated training plans to help you and your teammates prepare for the race. The money will go to IMBA's Trailbuilding Fund, and to a local IMBA-affiliated club of your choosing. Once you sign up for Team IMBA you'll automatically be registered for the race. You'll have access to our easy-to-use electronic fundraising platform (with professionally designed Web and e-Mail components). For your big day in the saddle, you'll receive robust raceday support, including bike mechanics, hot food/cold beverages and other services in IMBA's fully equipped support area.
If you love trails, love what IMBA does, and have always wanted to do more to help us in our mission, here's your chance. Be a part of a very special community working to support a cause you're passionate about and take on the physical challenge of one of the world's most prestigious 24-hour races.

Q: Do I need to have a team already formed to sign up?
A: You can join us as an individual soloist, create your own team, or let us help you match up with other team members in your category. Our 24-hour support will make it easy for you to take on the challenge of this iconic race.
Q: How will I raise money for Team IMBA?
A: When you register for Team IMBA, we'll provide you with Web tools to make your fundraising easy and fun. You can create your own Webpage, e-Mail your friends and family (we'll provide the template) and take online credit card contributions. We'll provide tips to help you raise money for trails. A portion of the funds you raise will go directly to the local IMBA affiliated club of your choice.
Q: Is there a minimum amount I'll need to raise?
A: Each rider should be ready to commit to raising $1500. This amount includes race registration fees, and makes you eligible for the support package described above. Remember, donations will be tax-deductible contributions to IMBA, a 5013c non-profit. With the electronic fundraising support you'll receive, we suspect you'll find that raising the minimum amount to be very achievable.
Q: Why 24 Hours of Moab?
A: Since its inception in 1995, The 24 Hours of Moab has earned a reputation as one of the most prestigious 24 hour races in the world. For more information, visit the race organizer's site at grannygear.com (http://www.grannygear.com/)
