I just realized that Tonka Cycle & Ski is having their Garage Sale this weekend. I have yet to stop in, but in years past there has been some pretty good deals on used adult bikes, kids bikes, Burley type trailers and so on. Last year I almost bought an old (late 90's) Yeti ARC hardtail, luckily it was just a hair to big for me. Anyhow, they run it as a consignment deal, so people bring in their used bikes for the shop to sell for a small fee. In addition to having a lot of used stuff, the store has a pretty good sale as well. It's definitely worth stopping in, if you live on the West side or are in the market for a used bike.

They're located in Minnetonka, just West of Hopkins and North of Eden Prairie, near the intersection of highways 494 and 62.
The exact address is
14731 Excelsior Blvd.
Minnetonka, MN 55345
952-938-8336

Go check it out

If you know where the Famous Daves is on Hwy. 7, the road that takes you past the water tower (Williston Rd) Will dump you right into a hopefully busy parking lot.

Hopefully, they won't have that commercial on again during this years coverage of the Tour.

Ive been working this the past week. We only got in 250 bikes this year compared to 450 last year. And the sales are relatively slooowwwww. I sat out there for 2 hours today an there just isnt enough bikes to suit peoples needs.

We do have a brand new Giant OCR C3 for $1200 but i think it was getting sold as i left today at 4.

A really neat mid-70's tandem thats in great shape.

and 10+ Burleys! Lots of them available.

Theres a LiteSpeed Sienna frame, (or Sierra...im not sure what its called), in great shape that has cranks, a fork, egg-beater pedals, and a front der. Good deal for $525

An Orbea Malana (something like that) orange/yellow road frame there.

Then we just got in this morning a Lemond road frame came in.

Lots of little kids 20 an 24in bikes available...

Check it out!

Oh yeah if you want to drop off a bike, you still can. If you want under $100 for the bike you'll pay $5 to get it into the sale, over $100 is $10.

Then come in, (dont call!!), on either sunday or monday to pick up either your money or bike. If your dont want the bike we'll donate it to people in Africa!
