Pushing for it to happen this fall, but I've got a LOT of recog to do to find the right place. The area that I have access to is so remote that a copter is going to have to be available for emergencies and we may have to bus spectators to the site. Those are some of the obstacles I'm facing with this. But it all depends on where I find THE place to do this. This is also just one of about 5 things we're working on here. So speak up with any ideas, please!

After reading the other forum, here an idea...

It sounds like the environment is very fragile and you don't want to ruin it so specific routes, lines, and jumps my put to much environmental stress in certain areas.

How about defining some boundaries (say 1 mile x 1 mile square) and lettting riders explore and ride anything they want (all natural features...you have a cool area, why build structures?). The judging would be based on a video of the ride (remember the parachute snowboard stuff the X games used to have?) so videographer/rider teams would be judged.

After a day of riding/videotaping/editing, everyone gets together to watch the videos on a big screen in the middle of no where, the videos are judged, and a big afterparty begins.

It's private property, we can do what we want, where we want. and it get's "ruined" ever time it rains.

Spectators can't see a superman tailwhip from a mile away. And it's a STREET COMP...in the DESSERT. That's what makes it different from other STREET COMPS.

The judging would be based on a video of the ride (remember the parachute snowboard stuff the X games used to have?) so videographer/rider teams would be judged.

The rest just sounds boring. Why watch a video when we can watch live action and yell and cheer and drink cold Redbull while watching bikes? AND, there's no place to watch vids. We'd have to heli-drop a TV into the place, and there's no towns larger than 100 people within 30 miles.
