I'm going to cable this weekend with my brother & I was wondering what the best trail in the area is? The CAMBA website gives some general details on trails, but not much else. I guess I'm spolied by our trail guides. The following trails looked pretty good. Any suggestions would be appreciated.
1. Ojibwe Trail. It looks pretty technical without much of a chance to get moving. CAMBA said the average speed is 4-5 mph.
2. Sleigh Trail
3. Glaicer Trail
4. Namakagon Trail
5. Rock lake. From the description, this trail sounds pretty good.

If you get to the Rock Lake/Namekagon trails, make sure you hit the Hildebrand Loop. We did about 27 back in there a couple of weeks ago, and although the whole ride was a blast, the Hildebrand Loop stands out as one of my favorite sections.
I haven't ridden Ojibwe, but have heard good things from reliable sources.
There's a complete CAMBA trail map pack that can be purchased for $5 at the bike shops in the area, with all proceeds going directly to CAMBA. I stopped at a shop halfway between Hayward and Cable and picked one up.

You can loop Rock Lake, Glacier, Patsy and Namekagon into about a 27 to 30 mile ride that is amazing.
I would also suggest the new Hatchery Creek Trail maybe ride that with the 00 Trail. Hatchery Creek is a great trail not real difficult but it flows excellently and I've heard the 00 is super techy although I haven't ridden it yet myself.
Ojibwe is also a great trail, definitely worth the ride.
As far as the Sleigh Trail goes I haven't ridden that in a long time and I believe due to logging it has changed so it is probably different than when I rode it anyway.
Scott is ride spend 5 bucks and get the whole map packet and you won't find any shortage of riding but the above is what I have found to be the best. Feel free to PM if you have anymore questions or want more detailed information. Have fun! :)

Ojibwe trail is great, and it's really not that technical. It just winds around a lot and is a rough and tumble ride. It's actually a good ride on a singlespeed. You will go a bit slower, but I'd say more like 7 or 8 mph if you hammer.
The cable cluster has a lot of variety, and you can put together many sections of trail for longer rides. The Esker trail is another good trail there. You can skip the last section of the trail along the fire road and instead go straight across the road (shortly after you go through the creek crossing) onto more singletrack that eventually intersects the Ojibwe trail (this is the route that the Cable Off-Road Classic race takes). If you want to do some hill climbing and fast descending, then you can also ride on the Birkie trail. You can easily put together different sections of trail here for a 30 mile ride.
You must ride at the Namekagon cluster though, as it's got some of the most fun singletrack. The outer section of the Rock Lake trail, a.k.a. the Hildebrand loop is probably the most technical in the area, but still nothing too difficult. I usually start at the Namekagon town hall and hit the new singletrack there and do the whole outer loop of the Namekagon cluster, including all of Rock Lake, the Patsy Lake, and Namekagon trails. Its over 25 miles and takes 2 1/2 to 3 hours.
The Seeley cluster trails are fairly laid back, and a good choice if it has been raining because these trails are mostly doubletrack and fire road. There are many different ways to navigate your way to the firetower hill, which has a good view from the top.
Heading further north to the Delta cluster is worth it as well to ride the Delta Hills loop and the West fork trails (cool singletrack here).
There's lots more good stuff to ride up there that would take me much longer to explain. Enjoy!

You guys are awesome. I really appreciate the feedback. I'm going to get a map on my way in tomorrow. I know exactly where the bike shop is on 63 N of Hayward. I've got three days to ride, so I'm hoping to hit a lot of the trails & bars. Peace.

Rock Lake is world class; Ojibwe right behind, but all the others are fun too.
