Do you really hit 40 on the lunch loops?

that seems aweful fast for off-road.

I've hit 47 on the road bombing Garvin when I was in college in Winona and I thought I was going to die:crazy2:

That's the one section we didn't ride this year (for sure next year!), but that is probably correct. I hear it's pretty wild. The rest of the crew probably could chime in on this area!

Solid article. Very suspect of "...least known..." comment. Heck, I'd rather do the rides around Fruita than Moab. I've absolutely roasted my brakes on the big rock expanse. Clydes pick up ramming speed in a hurry.

The top of Ribbon is like Amasa Back without the drops. You can haul ass. I would suspect 40 is easy to hit. It turns into really cool singletrack for the bottom ¾. You can see the trail from the top of the Lunch Loop. Straight over the canyon is the slickrock part and if you lean over the edge you can see the singletrack winding through the bottom of the canyon to the right. It comes out over by the Colorado Monument. You can either shuttle to the top or ride all the way up (earn it) and come down. I didn't have a chance to do it this year. Like Soupboy said, Fruita is way better than Moab. If you like slickrock but not all the climbing go to Gooseberry Mesa, Saint George, UT:

My adrenal gland started leaking just sitting in my chair! Reading this article and seeing the pics got my mind in video mode and replayed it complete with sound and emotion too.
