Hey-

I like the new fonts for the links at the top of the page. It might look good to do the "Gaining and Maintaining Trails" slogan in it too.

Also... is it me or does it say "Trali Guide" instead of trail guide?

How about a link on the trail guide to trail conditions as well? I think the trail conditions link gets pretty lost on the main page. Would be cool to have some way of updating trail conditions from inside the trail conditions forum post but that's probably not possible.

We're re-doing the trail conditions soon... anything is possible.

I got tired of the buttons and threw those "dirty" font replacements up there.. it is what it is (for now). :)

Come on now, that was my only visual contribution to the site......:p

There are like 6 different fonts being used all over this web site... some day we can clean that up.

We could make the "Gaining and Maintaining Trails" an image too. That would clean that up. Either that or use a no italic web-safe font. But it probably would not match the site then and has too many design limitations.

Some good ideas.

I'm thinking of talking with carbon creative to see what they might be able to do with our site. Their latest 24 hour site is very cool.

So it is just me?

It's just you. :)

If you look at the L in Calendar, I think you'll see why it looks that way when it's next to a capital 'I'...

So it is just me?

If you hadn't said anything I'd never have noticed it... now I see it every time I look at it. ;) I'll put some space between the two letters eventually...

Is there any way I can contribute/help with the web site? Prior to my new career as a corporate drone, I was a software developer with experience with web development. I would love the chance to dust off those skills.

We are always looking for help, mostly in two areas:

1. creative and graphics design (general web site look & feel)
2. php and mysql development (programming, like the trail conditions etc.)

Our problem is most of us know how to work with html, but not many can generate a creative web site with graphics (along the lines of but not exactly the new 24hoursofafton.org site)

I think I fixed the letters a bit so its a little more clear...

Maybe the words shouldn't be so straight on the page... angle each one a little perhaps?
