Yes, ladies and gentleman, the incredibly gifted driver in this picture has tied their bike to their roof rack bars, upside down.

The bike seat was tied to the rear bar, and the handlebar was tied to the front bar. Which, at 70mph, made the bike bounce around and look like it was about to become a flying missile into the unlucky person who decided to drive behind it. Couldn't tell you if that eventually happened, but at least not for the 2 minutes I saw the car/bike.

Wish I could have gotten a better picture, but this is all my camera phone can pull off. Anybody else got any similar scary pics of bikes "attached" to cars?

Not a recommended method of bike attachment!

WOW! Darwin award nomination?
I almost hope you signaled the guy and told him it was upside down...

Now that is scary. And local makes it even scarier, they must REALLY love their interior too much.

I recently saw a car going south on 169 with a bike that was just laid on it's side on the roof rack and held in place with bungees!:shocked: The bike was catching air at 70 MPH+ and the front wheel and fork were rising above the car, floating against the bungee tension. I thought about the camera, but I decided those bungees were ready to snap and backed off about a 1/2 mile.:crazy2:
