first ride since 2000

I rode battle creek for the first time since 2000 or so a few days ago and I am super impressed with how awsome it is! Some of the new single track is really sick. I had a blast, now i just need to get back into the same shape i was in 7 years ago, some of the climbs were a little tough. So all in all, good job to all of you who have put the work in! Thanks!

Glad you loved the ride! Thanks for the compliments. Quite a bit of work has been done over the last few years. You can definitely get a great workout at BC. Anyone that whines about there not being any decent climbs in the twin cities needs to ride BC a little more! :)

There are trail work sessions at 5:30 on monday nights. We're currently working on a new trail in a different portion of the park. Details are posted each week in the BC forum. Come out and join us if you'd like.

There's also a group ride that usually goes out around 5 or 5:30 on wednesdays from the rec center lot.

I usually ride on tuesday after work and any thursday that I have off I usually ride in the morning, you are right about the climbs too, i think riding there really helped my conditioning back when i was riding more. Some nice technical climbs too.
