Greetings all,

Many thanks to everyone who stopped by the tent yesterday - it's fun to hear that folks are glad we're back for this year's series, and it's even more fun to see you all enjoying the photos.

Thanks also to all those who put on a great race yesterday - it was our first time at Steeplechase, and from what I could tell everything went really well.

For the curious, notice the lack of mud on the bikes. The course firmed up very good overnight. (The very new, very red bike is mine. Now if I could just learn to ride, it I will be a happy man!)

Ha! I remember right where you took the shot of me...I had just finished the nice muddy climb and I was beat! I tried to look fresh...hahahaha. Nice pics John!

Thanks for the compliments, everyone - I'm certainly looking forward to the rest of the season, and to getting to know more of you.

Porter - don't worry, I don't think you're the only one who tried to look fresh (and wasn't completely successful!) at the top of that climb. I only had to walk up it, and that was plenty for me...

I think it's only fair for you to warn us that your up ahead. I came around a corner and **FLASH**. Once I got past the temporary blindness I remember thinking I can't wait to see that expression. :crazy:

Nice pics though. Now I know to keep my head up and stay alert!

It is a great picture! Wyatt playing in the puddle captured the the weekend of dodging rain showers.
