Okay, so I know Fort Frances is in Canada, but we're just over the border so I figured that was close enough.
The Borderland Bicycle Club is hosting our first organized trail ride, the "Raid on Reef Point" on July 15. It's not a race, but there are rider categories for those who want to go long and fast with like-minded types.
The course is a 7 km loop of varied single-track that promises a great time. Don't expect smooth, root and rock free racing trails, though -- it's a full-squishy kind of experience.
So if you feel like getting away from the hustle and bustle of life "down south," head north for the weekend. We're going to have a BBQ and all that stuff, and we're hoping to draw in riders from around NW Ontario and northern Minnesota looking to have a good time.
Check out our website (http://borderlandbicycleclub.googlepages.com/2007raid) for more info. And don't worry about passports to get into Canada -- a driver's license still works just fine (at least for this summer).
See you on the trails!
