The list is long, but the amount of work all these people have put into this project deserves a HUGE THANKS from Minnesota mountain bikers...

Three Rivers:
Margie W, Brad C, Todd B, Brian B, Charlie E, Jay T, Kelly G, Amy G, Ron D, Jenna T, Doug B, Mark D, Hugo M, Tom K, the entire Cleary crew, all those that attended the April walk-through, and the IMBA Trail School at Murphy a few years ago, and the rest of the Three Rivers staff. THANK YOU!!

(I'm probably missing people)

And of course, this project couldn't have happened without the support of the Three Rivers Board of Commissioners, Thank You!

The level of support and effort from Three Rivers has been truly amazing... they have undoubtedly set new standards for local land managers. And they set the bar high!

Again... a HUGE thanks to Three River Park District!! Without a doubt deserving of the Land Manager of The Year Award in 2006 (and I'll be nominating them for 2007 too).

MORCers:
For getting these wheels rollin': Tim W, Dale G, Scott T, and Ericca. BIG Thanks!!

Design and Layout: Scott T, Brandon P, Pete K, Adam B, John L, Tim and Dale.

Trailwork Volunteers: Ryan L, Kris Y, Steve H, Spencer F, Lonny M, Troy R, Doug H, Shad, mara, James F, Tom C. I'm forgetting trailworkers...

Matt M for legal advice.

Quality Bicylce Parts for the generous donation to help make this project a reality!!

Thank you to all the MORC members out there... your membership contributions and donations help MORC accomplish projects like Murphy.

And of course the support and guidance of the MORC Board of Directors!

THANKS!

...

Sorry if I missed anyone (please tell me if I did).

Thanks to all - this trail is a great story and seems to really represent what MORC is all about.

For those that read the forums or ride the trails and wonder, "Should I join MORC?" (not talking about signing up for the forums, I'm talking about actually joining MORC by sending in a membership contribution to become a member), this Murphy project should be a great example of what the organization is about and what it can accomplish with dedicated members that volunteer time and money, in the form of membership dues or donations, to make projects like this a reality.

We all want more and better trails to ride (duh), and the ball is really rolling now. This is really exciting! Thanks again.

This is such a good post I had to quote the entire thing. + rep points for this one... it is so true. I don't know how anyone could hesitate to join MORC when we're showing such great momentum in the dirt where it really counts.

A big huge thanks once again to Pete Crabtree for being the leader through the Murphy process. He really took this one and ran with it - meeting with 3RPD, being on the trail to help manage the progress, digging in the dirt with the volunteers... beginning to end Pete was a true leader. His name belongs at the top of the thank-you list.

Every MORC member: Thank you for your contributions towards projects like this.. your trust in the organization and belief that we can improve the riding community by working together.

Non MORC members: Please go out and ride Murphy and really enjoy what MORC is doing... then feel guilty and come back online and sign on up! We'd love to have ya beacuse we have many more projects that all hinge on funding and volunteers. The next trail *could* be in your neighborhood!
