I havent ridden out there yet but I would like to ride with someone who knows the trails. Im new to mtn biking and plan on racing both races in Duluth. If any one knows about group rides at mt du lac or spirit let me know, I would like to get out there and ride.

Tues was the night there last year and I'm pretty sure its the same again. Its one of the better rides around here and there's usually a descent turnout of various levels. I haven't went this year yet, but I'm going to look into it for this week. If there having it I'll be there.

Hey guys,
The COGGS ride is on Tuesday nights at Mont Du Lac starting at 5.30. Ride on your own, rolling start. It has been going on for about a month now. I hit the first few, and the trails were sweet. A bit soft (not muddy) not as fast as they were last fall, but they were really riding nice. Keep in mind that as a COGGS member you can ride for free, non-members the ride is $5 bucks. The trail is pretty easly to follow so no guides are needed. Also keep in mind that the Wobegon Bar just up the street has Taco Tues going on with cheap beer and even cheaper taco's! A bit smokey but......

Yo,
It is a long ride out so I would say driving is the way to go. From UMD get to 35 going south. Exit on the Grand Ave Exit (left side exit) go down Grand for about 10 miles, just stay on it until you hit the little town of Fond Du lac, cross over the river and head for the ski area, that you will see off to your left. Take a left at the Mont Du Lac sign. You have gone too far if you see the Wobegon Bar.
