Milaca Open for 2007 Season!

Milaca is also open for the season! There may be some damp spots yet however, the North Woods tends to be sticky most the season, Bog Monster too. Enjoy!

any trail report updates? I was thinking of riding there tomorrow..

A few of us went up and rode Milaca last Sunday (07/08/07)

Basically - most of the trail is in pretty good shape (outside of Bog Monster) - there are low/side hanging branches in a lot of places and more than a few trees down covering the trail.

Bog Monster, is a different story..
There is a lot of over growth, but nothing really bad, just more than the rest of the trail.
There is a Bee's nest about 3/4ths the way through Bog Monster, hanging right off the trail, where a few of us got pretty bit up.
One thing though - it had to be the driest I've ever rode that part of the trail.

Most of it could cleaned up with a decent hand saw and some clippers (neither of which I had with me). I think there were a couple of big logs that you might want a chain saw for.
