I don't find any "S" works Epics from 03 at all.. just plain old Epics..

2003 archive -> S-Works -> '03 S-Works FSR

2003 Epic does have disc tabs. The easiest way to tell would probably be the stem. The 2003 has the internal wedge Thomson, while the '05 has the lighter weight, standard style Thomson.

I believe the '03 didn't have fade control or IQ on the brain. The 05 did.
