Earth Ball vs. Colorful Parachute

We played Earth Ball in grade school. It was pretty fun. The colorful parachute was also a fun sport. I'm not sure which one was funner.

Hmm growing up in wealthy Stillwater I feel jipped that I only got to experience colorful parachute. My favorite was sending it up in the air and then everyone getting undernieth it and sitting on the edge trapping all the air inside. I think we shoud get one for the next Morc summit.

i dont know what an earth ball is, but i gotta say the best part about gym was not the parachute or earth ball, it was those little scooters you would swing the handlebars back and forth on and that would propell you foward

HAHAHA, Earth ball is by far the funnest thing in the world, what other thing can you do in school where you can launch people 30+ feet and not get in trouble? Earthball rocked, all though I do recall many people be carted of with lots of back injuries....do they still have them at some schools? We lost ours after some one got f'd up hard core. hahaha

Those things were accidents waiting to happen. Fingers smashed between scooters, fingers ran over by wheels. . .

In Scandia we had both Earth Ball and Parachute but our parachute was only Red and White. No rainbow/colorful for us.

My vote would have to go to Earth Ball.

I guess I don't know what an earth ball is. My school was pretty paranoid about getting sued.

the parachute was cool, not as much fun as dodgeball. :cool: , hopefully dodgeball will become mainstream. I would like to see it replace baseball as the national past time someday.

Oh man. Those things were the greatest. We actually had two versions at Eisenhower (Hopkins school district). One were just the normal wood ones. But the other was a slightly contoured plastic version with handles. Now those were sweet. They used to let us whip people around on those things in gym class. My friends and I have mentioned many times how amazingly dangerous that was. But just plain awesome.
