In August of 2005, the United States Congress passed the Energy Policy Act. The Energy Policy Act changes the start dates and the end dates of daylight saving time (DST). This law has gone into affect, so DST has started three weeks earlier on March 11, 2007 and end one week later on November 4, 2007. These dates are referred to in this article as the "extended DST period."

The extended DST period affects many systems between March 11, 2007 to April 1, 2007 and from October 28, 2007 to November 4, 2007. <TABLE class=table cellSpacing=1><TBODY><TR><TH></TH><TH>DST start date</TH><TH>DST end date</TH></TR><TR><TD>Extended DST period</TD><TD>March 11, 2007 </TD><TD>November 4, 2007</TD></TR><TR><TD>Previous DST period</TD><TD>April 1, 2007</TD><TD>October 28, 2007</TD></TR></TBODY></TABLE>

If you notice that the forums appear an hour off, chances are either:

1. Your PC has not gotten the correct DST patch installed
2. Your UserCP settings do not account for DST.

I have verified my own PC and the Server and it appears all is well.

You can verify the time of the forums near the bottom of the screen where it says: All times are GMT -5. The time now is XXXXXXX

For more information about how to prepare for changes in daylight saving time in 2007 (DST 2007) for all affected Microsoft products, visit the following Microsoft Web site: http://www.microsoft.com/DST2007 (http://www.microsoft.com/DST2007) (http://www.microsoft.com/DST2007) For non-Microsoft products contact the appropriate vendor.

We remain on Iraqi standard time here - so calling back to Minnesota was weird a quick GMT addition/subtraction was necessary - so funny! ;)
