I've got an Inbred 456 that looks to have enough clearance for a Large Marge/Nokian 3.0 combo, and was wondering if anyone who has a "regular" Inbred can tell me if this combo would fit?

Just looking for other winter bike frame options since the used market seems to be barron of any 16" 1x1s.

Thanks.

Can't answer your question, but the if the 456 / Inbred relationship is anything like the Instigator / 1x1 relationship it might not work. The Instigator uses the same stays as the 1x1, but has the vertical drops rather than trackends. I'd venture to guess the 456 is similar?

The trackends on the 1x1 are what allow a 3.0 Gazzo/LM to clear, the wheel must be positioned back in the dropout. It won't fit in the Instigator, I tried it. Basically, all the way forward in the 1x1 drop out is equivalent to the position on the Instigator. I bet the 456 might have the same issues. I was able to fit a 2.7 WTB Timberwolf though. So you could always run a 3.0 front and 2.7 rear if it doesn't work out....

Yeah, the 456 has vertical drops, so I'd have to check it for sure.

Thanks for the instigator info too, as I was thinking of that yesterday.

I guess I might have to just wait it out, and find a 1x1.

Thanks Pete. :D

Not for sure on this, but I think about the largest tire that will fit on my Inbred 29er is a 2.3 Mythos (rear). Call me a liar if I'm wrong.

If you own the 456, and the tires fit, why not just use that?
I just built up a 456 this winter and it's been great so far. With our recent snow, I've been wondering the same thing about the tires but if the 3's fit, maybe I'll go that route.

Good question. I don't know for sure if they will fit, I did a quick tape measure check, and it looks like the rear will fit, but the front won't fit my fork.

I was thinking of getting an SS inbred for winter, and running a rigid fork. I already have a Planet-X superlight rigid that I can use. plus, I don't think I need 5" of front travel on a winter Large Marge bike.

I'll post up if I get a definitive yay or nay on the LM fit.
