Weather permitting. Looks like we might be getting rain/snow by this time...
If its snows, perhaps we'll see the first real march of the Pugs... :D
Anyway.. post up if you will be there, but watch here for cancellation news just in case.
Hoping to make it ... depends on the weather.

Neither dirt, nor ice, nor snow, nor cold can stop me now. Only mud.
If it's not muddy, I'll be there. Weather forecast doesn't look good.

I don't want to jinx the possibility of white stuff.. but:
SkyMAX 5:
Big changes are on the way! Clouds are thickening in advance of a large storm that is pummeling an area from Denver, CO to North Platte, Nebraska. This is a storm that is moving very slowly and will not be impacting out state until late tonight and tomorrow. Temperatures tomorrow will be warm enough to bring a mix of rain and snow, however, by Thursday night temperatures will be low enough to change everything over to snow. Light to moderate snow will fall through Friday with snow totals averaging between 2 - 4". With temperatures remaining cool through the weekend we should have enough snow on the ground by Monday to ensure a white Christmas!
I'll give up the ride if it means getting some white. Even better, get white prior to the ride and bust out the P____ley!

Everybody turn on fans and point them east. We need to pull this snow in by early tomorrow for some accumulation before the ride.

John, I want a white Xmas so don't jinx us by even hinting at the "P" word!

Looks like we have about an hour or two remaining before the sky opens up and pukes all over Leb. So much for our dry trail.

I'll be in the cities again this weekend. Anyone interested in a late Sat. night or a Sunday ride. I'll probably bring the FFF(Fatties Fit Fine) 1x1 fixed. I looks like you might have some snow on the trails?:)
Now remember billy, only retards wear their collars up!

Yup, I'm guessing tonight is off unless a miricle happens and it freezes and starts to snow. Doesn't look like that will happen until tomorrow.

Twas the week before Christmas and all through the state,
There was nery a flurry, not even a flake.
The Pugseys were built in John's basement with care,
In hopes that snow would soon be there.
The beers were packed all snug in their bed,
While post-ride stories brewed in our heads.
With Bob in his long-johns, and Ted in his tights,
Looked out the window at the rain in fright.
Then all of a sudden the weather got bolder
I think it may just be getting colder.
Away to the garage I flew like a flash,
The Pug to the truck I did lash.
The parking lot was full of anxious bikers,
Of course there were none of the sissy hikers.
When, what to my wondering eyes did appear,
A snow covered trail for us to steer.
We headed up the trail fast and quick,
Hey everyone watch out for the low stick.
More rapid than skiers, along we came
We whistled and shouted and called out the names
Now Bob, Now John, Now Ted, Now Craig,
On Maura, On Andy, On Roger and Gary!
To the top of Dream II, to the top of Stoges Run
Now crank away, crank away, crank away in fun.
Someone else can finish it.....

Nice job Ted... very nice...
From Weatherbug:
We will watch the rain/freezing rain continue for Thursday, eventually switching over to snow late Thursday night. The snow continues all day Friday, with accumulations ranging from three to six inches. The snow will taper off Saturday afternoon, eventually ending by the evening hours, with chilly temperatures in the mid 20's. Santa may have some trouble flying his sleigh Sunday night, due to another chance of snow. While kids are opening their gifts Monday morning, we can expect only a chance of flurries falling outside. Snow returns in the forecast by midweek next week, only as another chance of flurries, with little or no accumulation. If you have to do some driving on the roads this holiday weekend, be sure to drive slowly, and to pack a winter survival kit just in case you may need it.
Anyone up for a Friday and/or Saturday Pugs Ride?

Because of all the rain they lowered the amount of snow accumulation. Most of it appears to be headed north and northwest. Might still get 1-2"
I think the chances of riding tonight are about over though.

Friday night works for me. After that, I'll be out of MN for a while. I'm hopeful, but not optimistic that we'll have rideable snow or ice by tomorrow.
The pudgy is ready for snow. If we get ice, it will only take an hour to change tires and drive train on the monkey.
I know we have complained about the weather this fall, but looking back, we only had to cancel a small handful of rides because of wet trails. I rate it as a good fall, and I'm looking forward to a good winter (with snow), starting tonight.

I'm cancelling the group ride as Leb should be left alone for a while now.
Stay tuned - if it snows enough or is cold enough tomorrow we might try get out there... so keep the lights charged up.
