Posting up to see if anyone wants to sneak out and get in a ride at Leb on Christmas Eve day... thought we could do something like we did on Thanksgiving perhaps.
If anyone can make it and wants to volunteer post-ride holiday treats, please do so.
The time is flexible if enough people need adjustments, but I thought 9am would be a good start.
Santa or any other holiday costumes are welcome if not encouraged.

Count me in, gentlemen and lads. I will do anything to avoid dealing with Christmas, and riding is better than anything I can get from a prescription drug!

I sure would like to make this and bring some cookies, but everytime I post-up to ride something comes up, so I'm crossing my toes while I'm typing this. Marie, make it happen!

I am interested as well.. Now that I'm staying in town, I'm in for the ride.
May even get to mount my winter tires after all!
Though - I was going to be in CA for Xmas, was going to be riding a bit anyway (fam likey or not).
I don't have plans until later in the day so this will fill in my morning nicely. I'll be there.......but I'm not wearing holiday garb......I have to save any small amount of creativity I have for next years running of the Santa's!!!
Have a good day all!

Are you going to toss rocks at each other, there is no snow! We are getting to that point now as to where I don't want to even see snow. But I'm sure I'll come home from vacation with a driveway full.:crazy2:

Troy, there is no snow NOW, but Mother Nature has a way of sneaking up on us and screaming, "Ha! Fooled you, you insignificant little humanoid who has drained my wetlands and built McMansions and strip malls on valuable green space, and polluted my rivers and lakes!"
And if not, one sip of my anti-Christmas egg nog and trust me, you'll see snow. :D

Point taken, save some anti-nog for me, I'll need it when I come back home from vaca.

No wonder you two have made it 20 years. Any wife who wants her husband to ride on Xmas Eve and a 20 year anniversary must be a pretty cool wife!

Well, I hope you global warming fans are happy... Leb is closed until further notice. If it doesn't freeze hard and stay frozen.. or snow.., it may take a LONG LONG time to re-open.

Well, I did get to do a one way river bottoms ride with Nita, Al, Marie, Lisa, and Rodney.......but it started to thaw and get muddy so we took the road back. Riding on ice without studs is a bit sketchy, but I think we were all glad to get out on our bikes.
We need snow now......just a normal winter would be nice.

That was nice, I really needed to breath outside air (thanks Marie). And when was the last time I road urban? Remind me not to tell you where I live Shad, because you're not riding on my garden walls! ;)

Nita, remember that triple axel I attempted (en-cleat), crashed on impact, and broke the ice with my hip?
No bruises!!! Riding on ice ROCKS! Who needs studded tires? Merry Christmas, Sweetie! Hang in there. It's almost over!

Amen to that. As much as I usually enjoy the Christmas season its been a real downer to not have snow and have to stay off the trails.
Lets hope things turn around soon.... I'm getting nervous that we'll have to close Leb for good and/or the winter riding season (my favorite time to ride) is going to be very very short.

Falling with style should be imprinted somewhere on your person! And falling on ice, holy cow...you had this 'flailing' thing going on with your arms that just cracked me up. But, if you could only see how WE were all trying to STOP behind you!!!

As the years go by, the act of imagining my life as the vampire girl in a Def Leppard video becomes harder; but moments like that sure make up for the loss. If only I could have detached from my body and sat on a tree limb to watch the show! :)

I heard all the noise and look back to see Marie laying on the ground and you and Al both sliding with feet on ice trying not to run her over......too funny indeed.
