Hey all...took the day off from work and heading over to BC a bit later this morning. It's still open right? Biking on my b-day! Very nice present to myself. I love the global warming...

I'd also like to know. Leb is closed. The warm weather is great, but warm weather plus rain makes the trail unrideable. The trail dries slowly this time of year.
Use your best judgement. If you are leaving imprints in the trail, you probably shouldn't be there. If it is dry or icy, you are good to go.
Please post up with what you find.

Thanks for the info and good wishes. The last time I was there it was SWEET! I don't imagine that it will be too wet as BC dries fast and we haven't had that much precip. I will give a full report when I return. If anyone is interested in joining me, I will be there around 11:30! Let's bike like winter is just around the corner!

Thats what we thought about Leb until last night. I'd agree that BC would probably be as good a chance of being ridable as any though... hope it works out! Happy b-day....

I will be careful and will report back about conditions and/or spots that are in bad shape. If anyone want me to check on anything else there, let me know.

Sounds good Taylor. Let us know how it is. My guess is that things are fine at BC, with the exception of possibly a couple of wet spots here and there.

You are right on Troy. It was GREAT! The soil has just enough moisture to be tacky but still firm. Even the sandy spots were nice and solid. Took it nice and easy...no sliding, locking up brakes, or general trail abuse. I saw a couple tracks that indicated a little of that but generally, the place is top-notch. GET OUT SOON!
It was nice to get out and get a nice ride in on DEC 15TH!!! Wow, kind of crazy how nice it actually was as I was riding around. The only time I was cold was on the ride to BC and the ride back to my house.
Nobody was out there so I had the whole place to myself...too bad nobody joined me! All you poor bastards at work...LOL!!! Just kidding.

Taylor,
Did you take the Wakota Bridge or Robert Street to get over to BC?

No, I used the Wabasha bridge, drop down that back access road that goes down to Sheppard, then take that trail that goes up to 61 and goes under 61.
A nice warm up ride but I have to ride up Ohio St. to get to my house. Nice cool down...

Good Lord, UP Ohio?!?!?
I feel for you man.... I am much closer to Wakota so I hop across there and and head north on 61 to the lower lot or to Lower Afton and hop in there.

Thanks for the update. Maybe this is the place to go at 8am tomorrow. I'll post something on the other forum.
Happy Birthday!
