Since Tuesday is the MORC board meeting, we are moving the Salem group ride to Monday.

So: Salem - Monday Dec 11, 7:00 pm
Looks like a nice warm evening for a ride. Predicted 35 degrees at 8pm.

Post up if you can make it. I'll be riding the stupid single speed.

Singlespeeds arent' stupid just the people that don't like to ride them :D.

Disclaimer: so that nobody gets bent out of shape I am taking a shot at John and John only . He probably rides a pugsley and is wishing for some snow. Have a good ride all.

Snow on Tuesday

Yea, right... I'll believe it when I see it. ;)

Huray - looks like highs of 42 again by Friday. Maybe if we wish hard enough it will get into the 70s and we can go do a real sport, like golf. :eyeroll:

"I'm... dreaming of a... brown... Christmas... "

I'm on a roll... :D Just venting....

See ya'll tonight! We are going to stop half way through the ride so I can do my annual snow dance. (most of the guys know what I'm talking about hehe) :crazybanana:

Now you're talking! 70s would be awesome!

Actually, my disappointment with winter lately is more about the lack of snow than the cold. I don't mind a cold winter if I have the snow to take my cross country skiis and snowshoes out. I really like deep snow. My theory is that there is no need for cold, if we aren't going to have any snow. So yes, even I say bring on the snow, and lots of it!

Stop picking on the cold weather. I for one like it cold. I like to ice fish and can do without the snow. Just plain old cold will do for me.;)

There is more salt out there than snow...UG

I will be there and hopefully the above freezing temps won't upset my fork like the 5 degree temps at LEB last Thursday.

See you tonight.

uhhhh... yes, yes it is. Although the way the weather has been lately I'm sure we'll soon start having light at 9pm in December as well.

Dang global warming...

Maybe the weather can make us both happy. Why doesn't it just get really cold for a few weeks so that plenty of ice forms on the lakes and then get dumped on by snow. Then it will be a winter wonderland!

Forget ice fishing, we need the cold for outdoor hockey rinks!

And snow for the kids to sled on. :)

Ice fishing puts food on momma's table. Plus my kids like to go fishing with me. They get a kick out of fishing through just a hole in the ice. Plus I bring the underwater camera and they watch all the fish swim by.

I hear ya on the rinks, but kids don't use those any longer. When I drive by them, they are just open sheets of ice!:cryin:

No. The trail doesn't get dark until around 9:00 or so.

THIS AFTERNOON
CLOUDY. PATCHY FOG. PATCHY DRIZZLE. HIGHS
AROUND 40. SOUTHEAST WINDS 5 TO 10 MPH.

TONIGHT
A CHANCE OF RAIN IN THE EVENING
THEN RAIN AFTER
MIDNIGHT. AREAS OF FOG THROUGH THE NIGHT. LOWS 30 TO 35. EAST
WINDS AROUND 5 MPH.

Hopefully, the rain will hold off until after the beers get put away. If it starts drizzing during the ride, I'll be whining worse than JL.

Folks, it's raining out there. Roads are wet, ground is wet, etc. I'm going to call off the ride (at least for me). If you happen to go there, please post conditions. I think they will be too wet to ride.

Sorry for the late notice, but I finally got outside.

Stupid global warming.

Yea, the pavement has been wet but the ground was dry earlier. If its raining then that takes care of the ground so I'm not riding either.

Bummer.

I blame all of this on Paul Douglas.

This means 2 full laps on Thursday for sure... if that one is a go.
