Dan Glassic is the new MORC Patrol Director. He was voted in at last nights MORC Board Meeting.

Hey man, if you want to patrol like your IN the race go right ahead. You can even use that pink singlespeed with the fenders as well :D Thanks for the congrats Porter.

I look forward to working (let's not use that word), I look forward to patrolling with everyone and having fun this upcoming year. I'm excited to take the reigns and see where I can lead this sled. Thanks for everyone's words of encouragement this past year and thanks to all of the patrolling members for accepting me on the team and entrusting me with these duties. I am also looking forward to getting more people involved in patrolling our trails and the various races, it'll be a blast. Thanks goes out to Alden for being my big toe for the past year.

Now if I can just get Mara, Shad, and Porter converted to a geared bike, maybe I won't have to wait for them on those hills. :crazy2:

Congratulations, Dan. As Regional NMBP Reps, if Jillian and I can do anything to help you in your new position, let us know. I have sent an e-mail to Spencer at IMBA advising them of the change, so I would guess you will hear from them soon, if you haven't already.

As leader of the Backcountry Trail Patrol, I look forward to continuing the good working relationship our patrols have had, covering the various events and trails across the region.

See you on the trails...in the spring I guess.;)

Well, if you didn't order it from NMBP when you had the chance, I think you are out of luck. As for the red jackets (anoraks) the Backcountry Patrol wears, 1. You have to be a BTPA member, just like we are. 2. You have to pay for it yourself, just like we did. 3. You have to patrol in the winter, on x-c skis or snowshoes, just like we do.

Until you are just like us, I guess ick yellow suits you. :D
