As far as Hillside goes, Ross told me that they were going to have just one controlled hunt to take a couple of deer out. That SHOULD be done with. I'll try to get a hold of him tomorrow to find out for sure. He works for the City Parks & Rec so he should know.

I know there isn't one at Wirth but I did see an eight pointer cross the parkway by the quaking bog on the way home from there today.

There is archery hunting allowed on Memorial outside of 10am-2pm daily from the start of the archery season (I think September 17th or something) to the end of it (December 31). The trails are not closed the rest of the day to other trail users though. We just ask that trail users be respectful of any hunter that you might come across.

Conditions update: Haven't been to the trails, but there is still a bunch of snow on all non-road surfaces. So if you have a Pugsley you might be able to make some headway. Would recommend a different trail though at the moment unless you're looking to snowshoe.

The City of Elk River said that they have not had the hunt at Hillside yet, but when and if they do, they will close the park and make it very obvious that bikers/hikers should not be in there. Signs will be posted and the will probably be closed.
