My lights are charging and it sounds like "the boss" has given me the go ahead, so I'm hoping to be there. Hopefully the weather will continue to be as nice as it was last night, we won't be getting too many more of those this year, so everyone should try and make it.

I wish. I realized after having to bail last Thursday for parent/teacher conferences that it is my wife's birthday on the 9th. Now, if it were just any old birthday I could probably ride, but since it is her 40th I am totally out.:cryin:

I just hope Magic doesn't read this........

If you are there around 7:30-8 you might just make the special lap 2 with us if you like... we always come back to the lot and hang out for 15 minutes or so before going back out.

I am going to try to make this ride. The problem is that my front hub is really....really bad now. If I have time, I might take the wheel off of my P.2 and put it on the On-One for now. Either that or ride the BigHit and die on the hills......not sure yet.

There are no hills. Ride the Big Hit.

Well, it also has gears. Another bad thing to have on a bike.....:)

I need a new MORC sticker really badly....:)

If someone has an extra (uhm....cough...John), can you bring it tonight? Also, how about some IMBA stickers too?

Thanks in advance if you have some to give away!!

Either that or ride the BigHit and die on the hills.

What? Based on what I hear from many around here, riding a fully rigid 29er single speed turns one into a gear mashing, lung busting, leg burning, pedal monster - superior to all other forms of mountain bikers, capable of out riding any other person on the trail... or so I've been lead to believe?

Are you suggesting this may not be true? That you can't physically push a heavy bike with gears and suspension around a flat little 6 mile loop? Are you that much of an elitist that you would rather NOT ride, than ride on what some consider a slightly less than optimal setup?

If it was me, I'd be riding.

All of that from me just making a little fun....:)

Sheeeesh!!! And I get accused of being the uptight one around here.

Just poking a little fun is all. You should really go ride though, having just a BigHit to ride is not enough of an excuse. I've ridden the dirtbag there and it's not that bad. It accentuates the DH sections, and you get more of a work out in between.

You are not kidding. I thought I was gonna puke. I only did one lap and was dead after that. Yeah, it made the downhills really easy. I did the dream trail at full speed at night.........what do I care if I hit something??..the BigHit will take it....:laugh:

Once again it was a great night and a really good showing of riders, we had about 19 riders in our group, and there were a few other groups out there. I think everyone's wants to get that last ride in the dirt before the snow flies.

Loving the Small Block 8s.... good find Ted!

Yeah we could tell you were enjoying them, when you turned the screws to everyone on the final section leading back to the cars. On a scale of 1 through 10, I think you were pushing 11 - it was awesome!

It's fine. I just whipped out my embroidery kit and sewed up the gaping gash with some pink floss. It's a little gangrenous this morning but otherwise fine.

I'm more concerned about the injuries sustained to my bike! Taco'd rear rotor, busted headlight mount and probably a slightly bent rim.

Still, it's important to keep adding bruises to my collection. My bruises define the extistential abyss of my existence. A mountain biker.

Well, sheesh, with two guys molding that rear rotor with a plier didn't help, brutes I tell ya!

Was an interesting and fun night as usual. Al's front cable is fried from that odd teeter accident.

Thanks Bob for the extra beer and chocolate! You realllly know what makes me happy :D .

Susannah (Flutterbyes) thanks so much for being there and riding with me too.
