I'll prolly bring my 1x1 as well... as silly as that is.

The pugs is still in need of TLC and grips, so it won't make a grand appearance quite yet. Soon tho...

I'll see if I can make it. My legs are still a little sore from the Bog Monster at Milaca on Saturday, so I'm going to try not to hammer it if I come tomorrow. (Also, this time I'll try not to run out of water!)

I have a spare light for you if you don't find one elsewhere. Its a HID that will fit on your helmet. Be sure your camelbak has space for a battery. ;)

I should add to everyone else that this is a GREAT place to ride and test out batteries or night riding.

Great! thanks...I'll let you know about the light. Yea, this will be my first night ride...I thought Salem would be the perfect place to start. Then I'll graduate to Leb on Thursday.

Almighty leader? I couldn't have been that much of a superstar on Saturday's ride. I'm surprised I could develop a reputation that quickly.

Actually, I didn't start getting sore legs until about midway into the second loop of the Bog Monster. Since there's no Bog Monster at Salem Hills, I should be fine. There's a deer decoy back in the woods, though, and I managed to convince a friend once that it was a real deer.

What are the trail conditions after the soaking mist of yesterday and what will today bring in term of weather? Don't want to have to call it as I want to get out and ride.

I would doubt that any trail is in bad shape. Most were so dusty it was getting difficult to breathe.

I'd say if it doesn't rain we're a go.

KleinCrazy

The misting we had will only have helped at Salem.

The trail was getting a little slippery due to the light dust on top of the hardpack.

The mist should have helped to cement things down pretty good and make the riding optimal.

See everyone out there.

I am going to make this one. My first night group ride, finally can make one. Might bring a pug tonight. Gives me a built in reason to ride at the back. How much battery time
do I need?

Couple hours would do. We typically do 2-3 laps. B... uh.. refreshments start to call pretty loud after the 2nd...

I don't think the pug will make it's premier tonight. Brendan wasn't on the lunch ride, so I actually pushed to keep up. If Brendan is there to push the pace I just let them go and ride my own pace. Legs are feeling it now.

Weather radar shows wide spread light rain across the metro. Anyone near Salem Hills know if it is indeed raining? Don't want to miss a ride this week because of rain.

I just came from somewhat near there and there was not a drop in sight.

Looks like it will miss that area for the most part.

Light rain at Salem right now. 3:55pm

Shouldn't cause any dirt problems, but it might make the riders a little chilly and wet.

I still plan to be there at 7:00 for at least 1 lap.

I will have a 1L thermos of warm refreshment to share.

That's the way I ride Leb every week. The worst thing for me is when the pace is in the range where I can keep up if I push it.

After a little bit of fine tuning, Mr. Pug is ready to ride. John, let me know if you are thinking about doing a pug lap. If John and Ted are not bringing theirs, I think I'll keep it clean for a while. The single is in the van.

Good ride all. But what is with the race pace? I just wanted to go for a nice slow ride, but the freight train was a rolling. Great to see that many show up last night. The night riding get's a better turn out then some of the day rides, hope it keeps up that way. I think it's the nice weather, we'll know who the real die hards are when the snow flies.;)

I sense that next week, I'll be hanging back with the slower group, to make sure they don't get lost.

Oops, that'll be the week after next for some of us. (MORC board meeting.) Maybe by then it'll be cold enough to weed out some of the fair weather fast guys. We'll be riding while they are on the couch eating bon bons.

I must admit I suffered from wrong gear syndrome last night... as one who normally loves to spin even that was a bit much.
