We will be doing trail work out a Steeplechase this saturday. We have about 1 kilometer of new trail tagged along the river bank that would be great to have done before the snow starts flying. We are meeting at 8:30. Bring gloves, water, and dress warm.

Nope, unfortunately riding is done for the year out there. We are working on new singletrack every saturday till snow flys so next spring there will be all new stuff to ride.

We will be working again this Saturday starting at 8:30. Another crew will be heading out to the new trail at 11:00. This might be the last chance to get all of that trail work out of your system so come on out and lend a hand. Wear Orange if you make it.

welcome andrew,
Steeplechase is has a great initial trail system, I can't wait to see how they are going to expand on that, I hope I can get out a little more to help with work this year, another good forum to monitor is www.rasc-mn.org (http://www.rasc-mn.org). They usually post up pretty regularly there regarding trail work at steeple. hopefully I'll see you riding sometime...

Great to hear from you Andrew, we always need another hand at steeplechase. We do the large majority of our trail work in the spring and fall and then we try to schedule a mid week session during the middle of summer. With our race being the first weekend of June we have a lot to do before then so any help is greatly appreciated. We probably won't be able to get out there until the third week of April though because the ski hill takes a while longer to melt/thaw compared to the rest of the area. It's to bad cause I am itching to get out there already.

Are you in the rochester area? If so let me know and we should hook up some time and ride some of the other stuff in the area. Watch this or the rasc bulletin board for updates on trail work and a trail opening date.

Thanks for the welcome. I'm definitely willing to help. I checked out the rasc site and there is some good info on there, wish I would have known about it sooner...

I am in Rochester, work at the clinic.
Hopefully the weather dries up a bit so we can meet up and do some riding.
I'm pretty amped for this season.
