Afton Alps is closed for mountain biking for the Winter 2006-07...

Hopefully next year we'll add a few new "recreational" additions to the existing trails...

Nice idea, but slim to no chance of ever happening... Multiple reasons. The biggest being Afton Alps managment allowing slight trail improvements but nothing monumental, and second there are only a couple people that volunteer there time working these trails, if there was more interest in moving dirt at Afton you never know what can be had...

We've never approached Afton SP, but they are working with Afton Alps on defining property boundaries south of the Bridge Loop section...

IMO- The opportunities for a twin cities epic trail exists, but just not at Afton...

Afton should open within the next couple weeks. They still have snow on many of the slopes...

FYI... Time and help permitting, we've got plans for more punishment... Right Magic...

Anybody interested in getting involved with trail work at Afton let Magic or myself know... Plenty of opportunties, no politics = move allot of dirt and rock...

FYI... Working the details of an Afton Weekend Trail day for those that would like to get involved... Tentatively Saturday May 12th... Will post when confirmed...
