I had mounted my front wheel to a Yakima rack on the back of my friend's jeep - when we got to the Elk River trailhead it was gone, daddy gone. We looked for it with no luck. :hit:

We assume it popped off somewhere north of Uptown on 94 west... most likely in a northern 'burb.

The rim is a Mavic disc, and the rotor is a custom one with skull and crossbones cut out of it. I'll give $100 if it gets returned in one piece. $50 if the hub is intact. Plus eternal gratitude!!!!

That is a bummer. I lost a hubcap once......and I saw where it rolled off into....yet I could never find it.

I had a friend who did a wheelie on his BMX bike and the front wheel came off. He went two feet onto his face, his front wheel went 2 blocks!

A bicycle wheel at 55 plus MPH (not sure how fast you were going though) could possibly go a long.....long ways.

I hope you find it.....but I could be in another city or state by now....:)

Yeah... I'm guessing somebody in an orange jumpsuit will find it up by International Falls, but just in case...

For those who are wondering, the sweeeeet rotor came from Dirty Dog MTB:

And they will probably put in on their Huffy because it looks cool.
