yeah so those of us on 26 inch wheels are going to be heading out to maple plain bmx track on saturday. it would be rad to see a bunch of people come out. meet at 2 pm. If people are interested we could get some informal racing set up there. nothing serious though.

oh and bmxers are welcome as well!

Drive West on Hwy 12 until you get there. You will enter Maple Plain, track is by fire station on the left of the Hwy. Look it up on google or yahoo maps. Maple Plain is pretty small.....so it's easy to find.

Last I heard the city just kind of left it for kids to go ride. I think they don't mind if you dig some either. Bringing launches out there might attract more attention than you want. I say stick with shovels and make the best of it. If you keep doing these meetings every week or so, it will get pretty dialed.

Have fun!!

wouldn't it be a little more exciting to get a few mtn bikers to monkey or one of the other spots? I have only driven by the maple plain spot, looks like it might get a little boring after a couple laps. I'd be down for other spots-

just a thought,

Eric

The problem with Monkey is that it's do or die there. Not many riders are good enough to actually have fun there. I would love to ride a place that had a variety of jumps and skills. I can jump a lot of the stuff at Monkey....but it's hairy. A good medium sized table would be fun the throw down on. By medium I mean 4-5 feet high and 10 - 12 feet long....maybe a little longer depending on the lip.

I think Maple Plain would be a perfect place to build this stuff.

alright sorry to have to say this but I am calling this event. Everyone I talked to is either going to memorial or hopkins. Sorry for the inconvenience. The event in hopkins is starting at 2 today, the same time as when this one was, so If you already had this time blocked off to go riding please go to hopkins. I feel like an idiot for not checking the racing schedule. I should have called this off earlier.

But... A location that already has a license and insurance.. but needs repair. is anyone else thinking PUMP TRACK????
