9 Mile Forum

A few of us did a group camping trip to 9-mile this weekend. We thought it would be a good idea to get 9-Mile listed with its own forum here just as Levis does.

Look for a 9-mile trail review to show up soon as well.

I recently spent 2 days in the Wausau area speaking at local high schools. I enjoyed riding at 9 miles both days. There is a variety of singletrack. Trails are twisty with short up and downs; some have sections with rocks and or roots which make it way fun! Trails are numbered and designated easy, more difficult or most difficult. I especially liked trails 1,2,3,5 and 6. Even though I had no idea where I was going, all trails pretty much come out on a main trail so it was never hard to get back to the car.

One trail in particular had some great rock drops or climbs depending on which way you go. At one point I thought I was going the wrong way when I ran into - not litterally - riders going the other way, but trails are multi directional.

It's only about 3 hours from the city at the legal speed limit. I can't wait to return.

How about CAMBA, John? I know you avoid the place like the plague, but a lot more of us ride there than ride at 9-mile. How about a CAMBA Forum?

What do you have against the place anyhow?:confused:

I agree with Hans. I was up at Rock Lake this weekend, and judging from how many of the riders were from Minnesota, I think we need a CAMBA heading. I'd guess as many or more people from MN ride the CAMBA trails as Levis and 9 Mile.

Rode 9mile this past weekend...it was a blast. The cluster of the 16 single track trails was a bit confusing to follow, but we managed, and found some great riding. I would suggest 1,3,11,14,16. Some great rock gardens in 1 and 11. Not too much elevation change on the trail, but some good winding / rock garden action!!!
