Probably one of the top ten night rides of the year tonight. Too bad Larry's charger melted or something and Gus and company no showed (hope nothing serious is wrong so I can make fun on you). Riding backwards (or as we say.. Bizzaro) was AWESOME! (other than climbing up the Quarry - that was lame). Southern Cross backwards was poetry in motion (with some horridly steep climbs in there). Plus the view of the moon was amazing.
I'm sure we'll fine tune the lap and have another backwards night ride. Perhaps next Thursday....???

I am sorry I missed it. Although, I cann't figure out how you rode it backwards, when I try to pedal backwards my freewheel just spins and I don't go anywhere. Just one more reason to ride that fixie, I suppose.
I figure since riding the quary recently has almost always resulted in personal injury and a loss of energy, riding them backwards would heal long time scars and give me super-human strength.
Please Mr. UPS Man, hurry up with that new charger.
Sounds like a fun ride was had. :)
Dang, I've got to make it down to Red Wing. Haven't been yet this year - Bummer.

I believe it is "MORC Illegal" to ride any trail backwards. We say that we AMTT'd ("accidentally missed the trailhead"). :)

The trails at Memorial all run the other way after sundown to prevent erosion when the dew starts to settle. So it would be wrong to do anything BUT ride them "backwards" during night rides.;)

anyone up for a ride tonight? Barring the rain we are expecting I need to get some hill climbing in, I will probably be at the driving range around 730 or 8

I still don't have a new charger so I am out. I hope to get in a daylight ride, though.
