This is some video we got from my helmet cam last night. Pete and Jimmy know where this is, I don't. Fun ride. I'll try to get some more of the footage loaded up on youtube. These jumps are a couple miles from Theo.

Too bad you can't embed the video, that would be sweet...

Wait, these jumps are by theo? No way did I not know about these, I live less than 2 mi from theo!
Please inform. (PM is fine)
Oh, and awesome video. What kind of helmet cam are you running? I just mount my canon SD300 to my helmet with a bolt, haha.

I've got 2 different Sony 'lipstick' style cameras that plug into my regular camcorder. They are about as big as my thumb. The lipstick cam is mounted to my helmet, and I carry the camcorder in a bag on my chest. Most of the time when I crash I end up on my back at some point, so the front ends up being a safer place to carry it.

wait wait wait.... secret jumps by theo. as a theo addict, i would love to know where these are. via pm of course.
oh and its weird how helmet cams always make jumping look so small and easy. like if there was a camera just sitting beside a jump it would make the jumping look alot bigger than a helmet camera does. i wonder why that is. anyone got an explanantion?

The jumps are NOT very close to Theo. They're probably a couple miles away. Somewhere between Robbinsdale and Theo...a 5 mile or so ride.
It may be that the helmet cam lenses I have are both kind of wide angle and you get a little 'fisheye' effect to them. Maybe that has something to do with it?
Here's 2 more links. One is the complete short loop at Theo and the other is a sampler of some of the urban stuff we did with a little Theo also.

Brap! Thanks for letting me ride the Demo, Rich. Tis a nice bike. Good vid too. They look tiny in the video! I can't imagine how "big" those jumps you see pros do in videos are in first person, cuz those actually "look" big.....
