Any interest in submitting a video for the MORC film festival?
Jeff,
Are you going to submit something this year?
I'm, as usual, late to getting started and I'm shooting mine this next week. Should leave me enough time to edit it and get it ready.

I might try to make this ride. The question.....BMX, P.2, or BigHit if I have it fixed by then. I think I would have the most fun on my BMX bike though.
damn...I'll be shooting a ramp to ramp freestyle MX show up at POVS in Andover with Tommy Clowers and Jeff Tilt.

actually i have not filmed any footage for a film this year although i do have an idea. it would be a drama mixed with mountain biking and be kicking rad. we could film it actually on thursday if people would be cool with that. got a plan for your film scott?

Ya, there is a west and east bank MPLS UofM and there is also a StPaul campus for the U. There are some fun things to hit on all of them.
Dave, you should come down for this. Are we leaving Friday for IL? If so you can crash at my place thursday night.

It's quite a ways, it's kinda on the other end of St. Paul, but we should have a DT STP ride soon, and then yo ucan scope it out.
So what are the plans guys. I am down for riding anything, just need to know a time and place.
btw, went out and road HWY 88 jumps with the guys on sunday... they're in pretty good shape for anyone that's interested.
Thursday... yarg!

i too like the 88 area jumps. if not during this thursdays ride I would like to hit those up with a group sometime. I tried to get peeps to go last month but I don't know most on this forum. they are good, with something for everyone, and not quite as intimidating as the village.

This ride is shaping up to be off the hook !!
Alright, now I know I was the OPer, but really that's all we had in mind when we decided on this ride last week; "Let's do a ride over on the STP campus next thursday. Pete, post it up on the forum!"
So yeah, none of us really have any plans beyond that. Any ideas on where to meet and where to park? If not, I can do some recon tomorrow.
Proally meet around one main spot at 6:30/6:45 and then start moving around by 7pm. Ride for a couple hours and then hit up a BW3s for $0.50 boneless wings and barley pops at 10 or so.

BW3s...Now I'm getting excited! My suggestion for parking is in the residential area adjacent to campus. There is a park two blocks from campus called college park that should have plenty of parking around it. It will serve as a great place to meet since it has a pretty fun hit as well. If you Map Quest the intersection of Doswell Ave and Raymond Ave in Falcon Heights, MN it will give you a position on the corner of College Park. It's not that large but let's meet in the middle. If you have any problems finding it on Map Quest feel free to PM me! See you thursday!!

I live a few blocks from the St. Paul campus, and would be more than willing to provide parking and cool after ride drinks for all of those that are interested! Even better, there is a cool little off-road ride that takes us almost the entire way to the campus!!!
I live on the corner of Larpentuer and Eustis...so if the group is interested, we can start from there.

Oh, and I forgot to mention, the hidden off road area also connects to the back of Luther Seminary's campus, and there is some pretty cool stuff to hit there as well!!

Alright peeps that's the final word right there. Dispersed parking in the residential area west of Cleveland Ave. Meet at College park no later than 7pm and then we'll rally. I'm not your mom, but a brain bucket is highly encouraged.
For those not worried about getting up friday, some of us may head up to BW3s on Snelling for some wings and beer afterwards.
If people want to meet at James' and ride over, feel free, just be there by 7.

Pete,
I think I am going to try and make this ride. Hope to have the cam and helmet system up and running. if we can find good hits, I have a 20 foot cable that allows for remote mounting of the bullet cam for some cool shots.
See you all around 7 tomorrow.
P.S. I can also bring a 2L of Cherry Wit Homebrew for people to sample.

Hey guys,
It was fun hanging out with you for a little while last week. Sadly, I didn't get much good stuff that night, but there were a few OK shots. I wasn't able to carry the right gear (or enough of it, anyway) on my bike, so I was improvising a lot and the results showed it. I'm really hoping to find a gap or two that I can take some time to set up and get a few riders together for a photo session sometime soon. ANYWAY...
You can check out a few shots from the evening at:
