Just an FYI.
The city allows bowhunting for deer up on Memorial Bluff. The season runs from the 16th of September through December 31st.
There is no hunting between 10 am and 2 pm. Also, hunting regulations state that there should be no hunting later than 30 minutes after sunset (I think this is correct).
This isn't to say that biking outside of the above times is frowned upon at all. In my three+ years of biking up on the bluff I've seen 0 hunters actually on stand. 1 I talked to who was tracking a deer, and another I've met on his way out to his van. Also, having bowhunted I feel pretty comfortable in saying that biking while hunting is legal presents NO danger to you (or at least the danger is so remote that it wouldn't be a blip on my radar screen).
I personally don't really like biking outside of night/10-2 just out of courtesy, but have no problems with others who do so. I'll be trying to get in at least one really long afternoon ride probably Sunday (but maybe Saturday too) before hunting ramps up.
