From Roam.
That guy has an inner gyro like no other. For all you trials guys, what kind of wheelset is he working with? It looks like a fairly standard XC set in terms of rim and tire width...probably 36h rims???

I could be wrong but last I checked he was still riding a Chris King rear hub with a wider rim. Which rim I have no idea. I ride a Alex DX32 rim with a CK hub and it works good. I would stick with the 32h rim/hub just to have more options on what to run for a rim. The 36h market for trials rims is a bit more selective than the 32h rims.

Weird his rims dont have holes in them. Yeah what type of rims? XC rims seems to weak to handle the drops and what not.

Yea, my rims dont have holes either. I'm guessing it isn't an xc rim but, rather a dh rim. The ones I have are similar to a Rhyno Lite/ditch witch just wider. Looks like he has somthing very close to that. The new 'trials' rims are super wide with holes in em, but still only about as tall as a Rhyno lite. But, most of the rims are still considered to be a dh rim.

Ryan Leech has a DX32 laced to a King in the rear and he seems to change the front from time to time. Recently he was ridding a XTR front.

yeah, drew is correct. He is pretty unstandard, however when it comes to trials setups. Holes are only really necessary if your running bigger than 38 mm wide or whatever DX32 is... I've got a 47 or or rear and woulnd't want to know how heavy it would be without holes.
