Well, as I spoke with all the trials guys, they all knew I had picked up the new bike. So, without any delay here is a pic of it all built up. So far, it is amazing on the rear wheel and the extra length is very nice. The Zoo! was a 1065wb this is around 1100wb. Anyone up for a ride??

Cool bike but where's the seat? :p

Apologies for the ignorance, but what is the difference between stock and mod? Also, can a 6'3" person ride a production bike or do you need something built to fit?

The difference between a stock and mod is very easy to see. The pic below is a mod bike which has 20" wheels(or 19" rear and 20" front), different frame geometry and different gearing(accommodate for the smaller wheel). I'm around 6' and the new bike seems to fit me very well. Eric on the site here is somewhere around the 6' 3" area and I believe he rides a smaller frame than the one I just picked up. Some people like the smaller frames for being more nimble and streetable. I have decided to move to the larger frame for more control and a larger cockpit feel. On the old bike I felt as though I was a bit cramped up whereas the new one, feels very open and relaxed. So yes, a taller individual could easily jump on a bike and start riding. http://trialsin.com/sell/frames/monty/221ti1.jpg

So do you have a MOd and a stock now? Those monty's are sick.

No, that is just a refrence pic for a mod vs. stock.

i didn't have a bike that was functional at that time. Saturday would have been a different story though... ;)

No no no. That was good. ;) Atleast you're okay, Dave. Could have been nasty.

Do you think the reducer could have and any effect on that?

Kinda hard to tell. The crack looks like it is a bit further off from where the shims where. I'm thinking it was just a weak point in the bars. But, hard to say really.

I doubt it would be the reducer. I'm going to guess....

Woodman... They have such a good track record. :eyeroll:

Brian has begun to start expressing himself in binary... His impatience is what is really hurting him though...

Sweet dave. I didn't know you like rear wheel moves. haha. If i ever come back to Eau Claire for a weekend and you feel like driving to the cities for the afternoon i'd be up for a ride. Don't know when though.

edit: the post from a while ago. Yeah, I'm 6'5" essentially making a mod pretty unpractical and uncomfortable but not impossible to ride. I ride a stock, its definately not a short frame. 1092 wheel base with my fork and decent cockpit size.. i think daves is 1100 cockpit. No matter what size bike i ride looks small on me.

what did you do with the old one?

The old handle bars, or the old frame? I traded for my new frame and I doubt you would be intersted in the h-bars.
