Group rides at Steeplechase?

I've been trying to get out to Steeplechase quite a bit the last couple of weeks but, except for one time, I've never seen anyone else around. This is such a great trail system it seems a shame not to try to organize some kind of group ride. This raises a few questions:

1) Is there a group ride already that I just don't know about?
2) When are people out riding?
3) Would anyone be interested in trying to get a regular group ride scheduled?

I don't have a particular time in mind, I'm just trying to gauge interest and/or see if there is something already going on that I don't know about.

Hey Phil,

1.) there was a group ride once a week last year, but they never got going again this summer for whatever reason. So no there are not any group rides right now.
2.) I don't know when you have been riding, but last week on either tuesday or thursday, I can't remember which, there were at least 6 other cars there at like 6 30 or 7. I haven't been riding there much on the weekends due to the race schedule so I don't know how many people are out there riding then.
3.) I would be interested and I am sure some of the other guys would be as well. A month or so ago some of the guys at bicycle sports said they were interested in hosting a group ride night out there, but they never really followed up on it so maybe I will contact them to see if they are still interested. A week night might still work best for the next couple of weeks or so. Also we will probably be switching back to sat morning trail work in a couple of weeks and usually right after trail work the guys stick around and ride together for a while, so 12 30 on a saturday usually works well to. let me know what times sound good and I will try to get something set up for next week sometime.

Also if anyone else is interested in a Group ride post up with your opinions and we can get a good group together.

I'm free just about any night other than Wednesdays from here on out.

Also, alot of my riding has been on Sunday mornings, so that might explain why I haven't been seeing anyone. I did go out last Thursday and saw one other person, so it must be Tuesdays when everyone is showing up.
