I'm getting into the more "serious" off-road riding, and wondering if anyone has a decent full suspension bike to sell? I've ridden a Specialized rockhopper for a few years, but want to get something better... Nothing to spendy.

Thanks in advance!

Size and budget por favor.

18 - 19" or "large" depending on the brand. Price? I'm open to options. I should proably get something more on the heavy duty side too.

Go on the classifieds on MTBR.com to get a feel for the market. You should be able to get into a decent FS bike for around $1k used. Used prices are generally around 50% of what somebody paid +/- for wear and tear.

FS sizing can be deceiving vs. HT and from brand to brand. Do you know what effective top tube length you prefer?

Not really. I'm thinking of something along the lines of a "all mountain" type bike... looking on the net, and those types of bikes look fun. Can pretty much take the beating then I assume.

Others will pan this, but go into a LBS and figure out what size ETT fits you for that style of bike. If you think you need a 18-19" or "large" my guess is that you're in the 23.5-24.5" ETT range.

You should be able to find a good selection of used bikes in that range on MTBR.

Rick,

Not to spam my own stuff but you may want to check out my Cannondale I have for sale a couple posts down. It seems to fit what you are looking for.

PM if you have any questions.

I'll spam.

Have a Titus SwitchBlade that i have been unofficially selling or at least that is what I have been telling the wife. It is all pimped out as well, but you really need to decide what bike would be best for you via a few test rides.

I've got a Specialized Enduro Pro I'd sell. It has 4.5-5.5" rear travel, with adjustable HT angle and BB height. Rock Shox Revelation 130mm fork, king headset, disc only. I'll build it to suit your price as well.

How much for what you have listed? And what size?

I'm not sure what size or how much you want to spend, but I just saw this one on mtbr.com. The best part is that it's a local seller so you could go and check it out before you buy it.

Not to "toot my own horn", but I'm still selling my giant VT2 in this forum. Take a look it sounds like exactly what you're looking for.

Thanks for the replies. I'll try to contact some of you if they are still for sale. My PM's are working again. :)

I'm looking more for a bike that will handle some heavy riding, something along the lines of an Enduro. Anyone with anything, or know of anything, let me know. If it needs work, thats okay too. I just need most of a bike to get started.

Edit: Price - $500 range... Size: M - L

Thanks.
