I've been searching the internets to try and find a manual for the above fork. I've had no luck. Anyone have a PDF they could send me? I should mention it's OEM on a Rocky Mountain Elevation. And has air in both legs. Thanks!

Don't know how much the info on these has changed between '03 and '05, but...

I've got an owner's manual for the latter (I've got the EXR Race-one side air, one side coil, but the manual covers all the EXRs) that you'd be welcome to borrow.

I live in the northwest metro area near maple grove, PM me if you'd like to arrange to use it.

service manual or owners manual?

Both would be good, mainly lookin for the owners manual I guess.

I'm riding a used Marz. EXR '03 that has air in both legs. My question is this:
Is the right leg the positive air spring and the left an air assited preload? OR Are both legs positive air? I have a Drop-off that is option A, but I'm having a hard time getting the EXR set-up how I like it. Let me know if I'm speaking jibberish! :etard:

Did you try the MTBR "Let's Talk About Shocks" forum yet? Those guys have mad skillz. I bet you get a correct response in less than a day.

Don't know if it's relevent, but...

I've consulted my '05 owners manual and the only EXR model that has air in both legs is called the EXR Pro Air. As per the manual, BOTH legs are positive air.

Hope this helps.

After some more experimenting last night I'm thinking you are right. I have not heard anything on the MTBR forum though. Thanks for looking it up!

Glad I could help.

If you're experience with the EXR is anything like mine, I've been pretty happy with the EXR Race I've got. Aside from handling real well on anything out here in MN, I did a fair amount of riding out in UT, ID, and CA this summer and it handled the rough downhill terrain in places like Porcupine Rim without any problems at all.

If you've ever riddern P Rim, you know that it can be one punishing trail on your body and your bike. Now, those guys that ride that trail rigid are totally nuts!!! My brother did that years ago on an old fully rigid Cannondale...back in July when I rode it on my fully squishy gearie I just kept thinking about how nuts (or should I say beat up!!!) he must have been.

Best of luck.
