What up guys,

I'm good friends with alot of the Team Sally guys so I'll be headed down for the weekend. I plan on heading out the 15th. and staying through most of Sunday. If your interested in coming post on up, I can carry two other peeps with bikes or whatever will work with who wants to go. It always proves to be a good time of riding and hanging out.

Thanks!
Buck

3 Schedule:

Saturday, Sept. 16th

9:00am - 6:00pm - Open riding on east and west side.

1:00 - Skinny competition (east side) Riders get three runs on the skinny line. Total points from three runs win.
comment: Hey Marley ... if there are as many riders as last year, there will not be enough time for 3 runs each. We had 30-something contestants last year and the comp took a long time.

4:00 - Timed freeride /downhill run (west side) Riders race down a series of dirt jumps, ladders, and step ups competing for fastest time.

Sunday, Sept. 17th

9:00pm - 6:00pm - Open riding on east and west side.

1:00 - Skatepark jam (skatepark) Riders will get a 1 hour open session to ride the course. Judges will choose the top five riders from the open session. Top five riders will get a 1 minute run with the park to themselves. Judges will award points based on creativity, difficulty, and originality.

Raffle - Free stuff will be given away immediately following the skatepark competition. You must be present to win.

Buck, what are you driving now?? haha, otherwise my Jeep would probably work. Might have to pick up a bike rack from John if all 3 pile in it. I have a feeling Buck will know more about the hotels in the area. I've only been down there the one time. ??

Well three of us made the trip down to Flatland Freeride Festival this year. Vibes were good, we got kicked off UW Madison on the way to Chi-town during a quick little urban session that was just gettin' goin' till the 5-0 showed up and put the ick snay on the fun. Josh has some photos. Luckily he just asked us to leave and didn't nail with the 190 dollar ticket for "riding your bikes that way"

Saturday was bomb! Sunny and 80 with a skinny contest that I sucked balls in and that Dave rocked in. Josh was out with a busted R. der. hanger he got during practice. The day went on with the BSX race that I shot video of(will post up later) and some pics too. The day ended with a park session with a couple of rippers gettin' ready for the comp on Sunday.

The next day Sunday started off with the park comp, which was very cool, 9 guys showed up to throw down and that they did(video of it coming soon) but here are a couple pics, MN own Dave Whalen competed on his TRIALS bike, hahahah it was good.

The guy that won.

I will put all the pics on photobucket just as soon as I have time.
Its official though, got some bruised ribs, healing time 2 to 8 weeks completely. Despite the pain the trip was fun. Team Sally was awesome and had cool new hats, beanies and shirts.... Meet Chip from Anchor Freeride and he makes some kick@#$ bike parts from stems to chain rings to bar ends. Everyone there was awesome, esp when my rear der hanger broke and they let me use a demo bike. A man without his bike is... well just not a man.... Had a blast with Dave and Buck...
Stayed tuned for more pics:banana:

Do any of you guys that went to CPX have any pictures that better show this ramp? I'm interested in how it was constructed.

Hey Kris,
I have a photo some where...give me a day or two and I'll post it up when I find it.

It's not a cheese wedge jump at all, super nice and smooth ramp.

The take off angle does not look as steep as I originally thought. How long would you guess that ramp to be? 12' ?

wildkona

probably right around that length, ya
