thanks to buck and the guys who made the trip down to devil's head. we appreciated your support. with 94 entries for the downhill i think it is safe to say that downhill is finally catching on. thanks for putting up with the shuttle, it worked really good last year with 65 racers, but 94 was a few too many for it to go smoothly. i know the course got pretty sketchy with the mud and all but that is what mother nature gave us so what can you do, it was better than last years 90+ degree dust bowl. i hope you all had a good time and that we'll see you again sometime.
i'ld also like to thank the sponsors who hooked me up with the prizes.

Pinner event bro!
No worries on the shuttle! It was great to see so many riders(what a great problem to have...to MANY riders!)
Course was a blast! Definitly tested everyone's bike handling skills. I had a ton o fun!
Thanks!
Buck
Rockin' event Andy! That course was tuff with the way the conditions worked out, made it super challenging and fun!!!
Got a couple pics towards the end, not many of the Open though, as I was racing in it too.

nice job with the pics you did get. there was a photographer there taking pics, i saw him going through them on his computer when i was leaving saturday night. i don't know if he got everyone but i'll post a link to his site when he uploads them. the pic you thought was me is actually my friend chad, good eye though-from that pic i could only tell by the helmet

Quality race...
I never once thought the shuttles were bad. I was actually impressed with them. We were running about 15 guys at a time in two trucks continuously. Props to that.
Crazy course... and I don't mean that in a bad way. I liked the change of pace to what we usually ride. Although luck played a large part in rider going fast, rider skill was definetly tested. It was the first course I have ridden were it really payed off to walk the course before hand and pick out lines through all the sections. After you had picked your lines out, you crossed your fingers and pinned it hoping that a rock, mud, or root wouldn't throw you off. Good stuff man.
I hope to see another event next year. Thanks again.

i want to say thanks for all the riders that showed up and the cooperation with the shuttles. i was driving the tan truck with the black trailer. the ski run got really slick really fast. so thanks again. also as a side note the final count was 100+ riders although they all didnt finish the event still went better than ever. hope to see you guys next year.

This event was a blast! The downhill/freeride presence definately seems to be growing. This DH race was very competitive with riders coming from all over the region (IL, MN, WI, MI, etc) Andy, excellent job with this race. I'll be back next year for sure. :etard:
